David Hinkle Southard is the President of Daddy Hinkle’s Inc. He was born in 1942 and is the oldest grandson of Daddy Hinkle. He is 67 years old and he does not live a quiet life! He lives with his new wife, Luisa Pinzón Varilla, in Bogotá, Colombia.

Luisa is a political activist and a professor of Spanish Lit and Philosophy in Colombia. She is leading a blooming feminist movement and is fighting for the rights of women in Colombia and every where. She adds an element of adventure and excitement to David´s life. Daddy Hinkle, his grandfather, would be very happy for him.

He has three children, Lee, Steven, and David. Lee is the new boss of the Daddy Hinkle´s Company. Steven is the builder and designer of this new web site.

Many years ago Daddy Hinkle told David the secret to his success!

Although he has never added “President” under his name on his business card, at Daddy Hinkle’s Inc. David has been the chief bottle washer for 15 years. The secret to building a successful business that Daddy Hinkle taught him has served him well. Daddy Hinkle told him, “When ever possible delegate every task and give others a chance to express their ideas and take charge.”

At Daddy Hinkle´s he empowered others to make decisions and to take ownership of their decisions and responsibilities. The rule at Daddy Hinkle’s is—Everyone must admit their mistakes, learn from them, and try again. Failure never!

Now the company has a great future and has very capable leadership. Daddy Hinkle’s great granddaughter, Lee Merrifield, is at the helm.
