Hamburgers With DH´s (part 1)
Daddy Hinkle´s is the biggest Hamburger Helper in the world! If you want really treat your self to a gourmet burger all you have to do is mix
a couple of pounds of hamburger meat with one oz of Daddy Hinkle’s Seasonings. If you use the O’riginal, my favorite, you will have an oz of liquid and a half oz of dry. Mix both with the hamburger meat and form up the patties and grill’em up.
You want to really make some good burgers check out the following. Here’s a one of my favorites.
DADDY’S SMOKY GOURMET DELIGHT
1 lb ground beef, chicken, deer meat, you name it.
1/2 cup of cooked wild rice
1/2 cup of shredded smoked cheese (cheddar, gouda, or I like mozzarella)
2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, divided
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon of Daddy Hinkle’s, follow directions( You pick the flavor, they are all good)
1 tablespoon of sweet relish
2 teaspoons horseradish
1/4 cup low fat mayo
4 buns toasted
4 slices tomato
4 slices sweet onion
- Preheat grill to medium
- Place meat, rice, cheese, 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce, mustard, Daddy Hinkle’s, in a large bowl.
Gently combine without out over mixing. Form into 4 patties 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick. - Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce, horseradish, mayo, and relish in a small bowl.
- Grill the burgers untill 155 degrees.
- Assemble the burgers on the buns with the BBQ/mayo sauce and tomato and onion slices.
